What Makes A Sport An Extreme Sport?

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009
Gregg Hall asked:

Obviously extreme sports get your attention. The have garnered the attention of the U.S. military who has recognized that anyone involved in extreme sports would be good candidates to recruit for their hard to fill special operations positions like the Army Rangers and Navy Seals.

So what is it that makes a sport extreme? Let’s take a look at some of the most popular ones

One of the main factors that make a sport extreme is the element of risk of injury or even death. In nearly every sport that is classified in this way you will usually find speed, heights, danger, and stunts. I believe the thing that causes people to become addicted to participating in these sports is the adrenaline rush associated with them. Adrenaline is much like morphine when released in the brain and I see people who just can’t seem to get enough no matter how many times they are hurt.

The first of the extreme sports was probably skateboarding. Introduced in the 1960′s as a way to stay in shape when the surf wasn’t up, skateboarding became a sport of its own and soon competitions were formed with riders jumping over cars and doing tricks in half pipes where they would be floating thirty feet or more above the bottom of the platform. There has been a lot of negative press directed at skateboarders but lately skateboarding is gaining mainstream recognition and is being appreciated worldwide.

Snowboarding is another extreme sport with its own radical characters and is essentially skateboarding on snow. Snowboarders perform many tricks that are the same or similar to those in skateboarding and like skateboarding, the sport has caught on internationally. Today, on any ski slope in America, you will find snowboarders.

Sport climbing is a variation of rock climbing that has become very popular over the years and is enjoyed by those who care more about displaying and testing their strength and athletic ability than adventure.

Skydiving is an extreme sport that is much less competitive but highly dangerous. It is the initial jump that is the biggest thrill with skydiving. There are more competitions being formed now in skydiving with groups forming shapes and creating chains for records before opening their shoots.

The attraction to watching sports where the outcome is unpredictable is growing larger, especially with younger children. No doubt as more people begin to participate in these sports they will seem less and less extreme.

Desperately Seeking Snow, and Other Extreme Sport Hotspots

Andy Adams asked:

For those who like the adrenalin pumping as they push their bodies to the limit many people take up some form of extreme sport.  We know most of them from television and video games, the main ones being skateboarding, skydiving and the nauseating bungee jump!

The fun doesn’t stop there, people can do most extreme sports anywhere but like most sports they have their true home, places which are perfect for that sport.  Like Wembley is to Football and Wimbledon is to Tennis there are places all over the world that are considered the Mecca of extreme sports.

Skateboarding is a common extreme sport you will likely see people in town centres performing tricks and doing jumps but the modern skateboarding scene has descended from the skate parks of California.  The home of world class skaters like Tony Hawk, California has many dedicated skate parks with both street setups as well as vertical sets like half-pipes.

If California is too warm for your sport of choice then there are always the mountain ranges of Europe of which there are plenty.  Ski slopes are dotted all over Europe with the Alps as well as other European countries in the north like Norway.  Norway is a popular ski and snowboarding area with thousands of people learning the sports as well as seasoned pros cutting their way down the slopes.

For the more death-defying extreme sports nut New Zealand can help out with skydiving and white water rafting available in a picturesque country last seen in the Lord of The Rings films.  For those who are extra daring there is a bungee jump location in Taupo, New Zealand which hangs over a giant gorge to a river below.  It’s this river that you end up dunked in at the bottom of your fall, but don’t worry, you’re flung out of it and will surely dry out with all the bouncing around you’ll be doing!

As you can see from this brief overview that there are plenty of locations dotted all over the globe for extreme sports.  extreme sports magazine websites are your first port of call to find out where’s the best location for your extreme sports holidays.  Once you’ve decided what sport you want to try out and where is best then you should be able to begin making preparations.  So check out an extreme sports magazine today and find your extreme sports haven!

Adventure Travel – an Alternative To The Five Star Cruise?

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009
Russel Clark asked:

Most of us have taken a travel trip sometime or the other in our lives. But if you have been on a travel trip in the recent past, you could not have failed to notice that a new category of travel has made itself very prominent. Known as ‘Adventure Travel’ this is a new way to travel that is not just popular among the youth and those whose veins are filled with adrenaline, but even among ordinary people like you and me!

It is not really difficult to fathom why. Regular travel, has, over the years gotten boring and predictable. With the prices of airfare coming steadily down and package tours becoming more common than ever before, conventional travel has become stifling, overcrowded and boring. The sense of adventure that is usually associated with travel has become obsolete. Until adventure travel came on the scene that is. With adventure travel, travel ca once more become that exalted activity that brings us in touch with new cultures and people and broadens our horizons. The very reason for adventure travel is unique experiences – something that all of us, irrespective of our personal preference of travel, want!

A sample adventure travel trip for instance could offer you a very unique way of seeing an otherwise popular destination. Now, most people you and I know have been on a Caribbean travel trip. They would have visited the same old beaches, stayed in the same old hotels, driven along the same old roads and seen the same old touristy sights. But sample what an adventure travel trip to the Caribbean could offer. You could take an eco-trek through the Caribbean rain forests, you could see the birds, the insects and the animals up close, you could camp with the local inhabitants and learn more about them, their costumes, their food and their culture by actually interacting with them and you could discover the joys of virtually deserted, unspoiled beaches. All of this while being relatively close to the popular tourist destinations, yet away from the humdrum and drab experiences.

Or imagine an adventure travel trip to Australia. While most travelers do the staid, old, boring city hop across the continent, you could, as part of your adventure travel trip, balloon your way across the continent, snorkel in the great barrier reef, share a billy with a jolly swagman and waltz with mathilda and a joey or two in the bush country! Doesn’t the adventure travel option sound like more fun when compared to the regular travel option?

It is precisely to cater to this need for a unique and interesting travel experience that the genre of adventure travel came into existence. And adventure travel is not a genre that is restricted to the teens and tweens. Increasingly, older adults are opting to go on adventure travel trips. And they are having more fun, learning much more and reliving their experiences at every given opportunity, much to the envy and consternation of regular travelers. You too could be the one to go on an adventure travel trip. The only thing stopping you is your imagination!

Online Overseas Dating and Gift Giving

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009
Tim Zelmer asked:

While less than a generation ago very few people had even heard of it, today it is impossible for most people to even imagine a world without the Internet. The fact is that, with very few exceptions, the Internet touches (or has the potential to touch) virtually every facet of our lives and has become an irreplaceable tool which is used by both businesses and average people alike. In just a relatively few years, the Internet has opened up the globe and broken down the barriers that separated people creating both a global market and a global community. One of the more recent additions to this global community is the online overseas dating community.

It is no exaggeration to say that literally tens of millions of people across the globe are – or have been – involved in online dating. Whether the aim is to simply find a cyber-companion to wile away lonely hours with or to find that perfect someone to spend the rest of their life with, online dating and relationship building is a reality of the Internet that is growing rapidly and here to stay. To give just one example, Online Dating Magazine estimated in 2007 that over 20 million people visit at least one online dating site once a month and that over 120,000 marriages occur each year as a direct result of online dating.

One of the growing trends in the online dating world is international dating. No longer constrained by proximity or hampered by the extraordinary costs of overseas telephone calling, Internet dating has opened virtually the entire world up to single men and women looking for both online companionship and life partners. While virtually impossible just a few years ago, it is now almost commonplace for a woman in Paris to form a meaningful relationship with a man in Brazil, or for a man in Philadelphia to fall in love with a woman in Moscow. International online dating services are available which cater to every preference and combination imaginable and anyone interested in meeting people from a specific country can usually find what they are looking for with a simple Google search (i.e. Chinese Dating, Russian Dating, etc.).

As amazing and successful as the Internet has become at bringing people from different countries together, however, it does have its limitations. Communication is certainly simple, live streaming video and audio is commonplace – but it is still all directly connected to a computer. While this is certainly enough for some people, many others – particularly if an online relationship has progressed to a more serious stage – are looking to take things to a more tangible level. In most cases, just as with non-online relationships, this starts with gift giving. Whether for Valentine’s Day, Christmas, birthday, anniversary or “just because”, giving gifts is an essential part of building any relationship.

Whether dealing with something as simple as sending a dozen roses or giving a more complex, more expensive gift, international gift giving can be a very challenging thing for people who have never done it before. Though we constantly hear about how the world has “gotten smaller” in recent years, and how we are living in a time of “global community”, the distances between locations are the same as they ever were. It takes time for things to get from point A to point B, shipping costs vary greatly when shipping items internationally, tariffs and customs taxes may need to be considered, and some countries actually prohibit certain items being shipped internationally to their citizens. Here are a few things you will want to consider when you are planning on sending that certain someone overseas a gift.

* Buying Locally vs. Shipping Internationally – Though most of us have gotten used to the idea of shopping online, when it comes to gift giving this is not always the case. In many cases – particularly when it comes to giving gifts to those we are becoming romantically involved with – there is a lingering belief that for the gift to be personal we need to find it in a brick-and-mortar shop, hold it and wrap it ourselves, and send it off to the one we love. Romantic, to be sure – but not always practical. Let’s take our above example of the man in Philadelphia who has been dating a woman in Moscow online. Our gentleman wants to buy the woman a gift for her birthday, and has a budget of $200. Shopping at his local mall, he finds the perfect thing for her, buys it, wraps it, and takes it to UPS to ship it. The package weighs five pounds, and he wants to ship it as cheaply as possible. The good news is that, for most addresses in Moscow, delivery time will be 5 to 7 working days. The bad news is the cheapest he can get it there for will be $247.50 – over twice his original budget.

When it comes to international gift giving, unless you have an unlimited budget (and who really has that these days) it is usually better and certainly more cost effective for you to shop in the country in which the person you are shopping for resides online. The most effective way to do this is to simply ask the person you are involved with what local stores he or she prefers, and then do business with them directly (you will find a surprising number of stores all over the world have websites – most of them with an option for English). While this does tend to take the element of surprise out of your gift giving, it is a simple way to save both time and money.

* Shopping Through The Dating Service – For those who really want the element of surprise in their gift giving (or for those who have found a dating service that they trust completely) sending gifts using the service is a second, usually cost effective, option for international gift giving. The increase in the popularity of online dating has caused many of the international dating services to provide options for ordering flowers and gifts directly through the service – usually at a very nominal charge. These services will have established service contracts in the countries they serve with local merchants and florists. While in many cases the dating services may have a fairly limited selection of gifts they offer on their site, many people find that the security of dealing with a service they already have an established relationship with is worth putting up with the limited selection they may offer. Most services that offer gift giving options will deal directly with the merchants, and charge you through your account with them – eliminating the need for you to give your credit card information to anyone other than the service, who will in all likelihood have it already.

* Scams – Unfortunately, as is the case any time the Internet and money are involved, international gift givers must always be on the lookout for scams, and take whatever precautions they can to avoid them.

1. Patience – Though particularly when starting what could turn out to be a romantic relationship it is normal for most people to want to impress their partner with their generosity, it is advisable to wait for a while before you start giving gifts. Make certain that the person you are “dating” is really who you think they are (using sites which offer verified identities or live streaming video is an excellent way of doing this) and also make certain that they are not just in it for what they can get out of you. The only way you can even start to be certain of this second item is by giving the relationship time, and getting to know as much about your partner as you can. In most cases, scammers will not wait around very long to collect off you, so temper your natural generosity with patience.

2. Cash – Although there are times when cash can be a thoughtful and appreciated gift, it is best to avoid giving cash – at least at first – to international online dating partners. Should a gift of cash be specifically requested by someone you are interested in, red flags should go up immediately and you should consider finding someone else. Virtually all legitimate international online dating services strongly advise against giving cash gifts, and many ask that you report any members who ask for cash.

3. Verification – Even if you think that you can trust the dating service you are using, it is important that when purchasing gifts through either them or the services they utilize that there be some way for you to verify that the gift actually went to the person you were sending it to. This is simple enough to do on your own by simply asking the person you sent the gift to show you a picture of them holding it (or if you use webcam dating have them show it to you during a webcam session). If the individual to whom you sent a gift is either unable or unwilling to do this, it could be an indication of a scam – either on the part of the service or on the part of the person.

Gift giving is an important, and fun, part of any budding relationship – whether that relationship is with the boy next door or a girl halfway around the world. Particularly in the area of international gift giving, if you temper your natural generosity and passion with just a little common sense and caution, your perfect gift could help you on your way to the perfect international relationship.

Ewan Mcgregor – Want To Come On An Overland Adventure?

Friday, June 5th, 2009
Richard Swainston asked:

A strange article title, but an even stranger story. I work for a company called Dragoman Overland – we deal in overland adventure travel, which for the uninitiated is going around the world in a big truck taking in the culture. This is the kind of trip that people quit work to take, and they can last anywhere from 2 weeks to months to years.

So, while traveling across Africa, we run into Ewan McGregor, A-List Hollywood actor and star of Star Wars Episodes 1-3, Moulin Rouge, Trainspotting and Shallow Grave. He’s traveling across Africa on motorbike with his film crew, and comes aboard to chat with our passengers and crew. At this point I should state that he seemed no less down to earth than any of our other travelers, and was more than happy to regale tales of his adventures to our passengers – like a normal everyday guy. Adventure travel really is a different world – it’s a million miles away from ‘normal life’ and celebrity status means nothing out there. It was nice to see him unwind, free of the pressures of the media and the paparazzi.

Anyway, one of our starstruck passengers recorded some of the dialog – it’s not everyday you meet a celebrity and it’s just another part of the wonder of overland travel, the complete sense of the unexpected. Said customer then uploaded the video to YouTube to share with his friends. We linked to the video on our website – what better way of illustrating the strange goings on of an overland adventure than with this sensational video footage? In fact, the video’s still up at the time of writing, so go see it for yourselves: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=RxgGUNY3fhI

All was quiet for all of a few hours, but then we got a call from Ewan’s production company insisting that we take the link down. I can only assume that they thought we were trying to imply some sort of celebrity endorsement, when really we were just trying to show that anything can happen on a Dragoman holiday. The obvious contrast between Ewan McGregor, so happy, chatting freely with contemporaries in Africa that day, and his production company stuck in their suits in their office was enormous. No one cares about copyright protection when you’re living an adventurous life abroad, and it must be depressing for Ewan to return to this corporate world after leaving it behind for so long.

So, we’d like to offer Ewan the chance to join us – it’s a formal invite. Put aside your film schedule and ride with Dragoman Overland. This kind of experience is well worth the price and we guarantee you’ll enjoy yourself, away from the pressures and ludicrously officious nature of production companies and Hollywood management.

Ewan, come back and join us on a Dragoman Adventure! I know you had a good time on our trucks and hanging out with us. I saw it in your eyes – you can’t deny you enjoyed it.

7 Reasons to Consider Mail Order Brides

Friday, June 5th, 2009
Curt Webber asked:

Mail order brides have had an air of mystery and romance surrounding them for a very long time and many Western men have lived a lifetime of love with a woman from halfway around the world. They may not have ever met this love of their life had they not been open to the idea of marrying someone from another country.

If you’ve been toying with the idea of looking at other countries to find a bride, you don’t have to travel the world to find her. The list below outlines seven good reasons you should consider mail order brides.

1.Studies have shown mail order brides and their husbands have longer, happier marriages than most traditional marriages.

2.Theoretically, the rule of opposites attracting applies when it comes to mail order brides and their spouses. Their marriages are almost always successful.

3.It’s easy to find an abundance of help online to walk you through the process of finding the mail order bride of your dreams. You’re able to correspond directly with the woman you choose before encountering an expensive trip abroad.

4.The somewhat negative connotation once associated with mail order brides no longer exists for most people. Online dating is widely accepted, and international online dating is just an offshoot. The phrase ‘mail order bride’ is still typed into search boxes about 3,000 daily.

5.Many services now exist online whose sole function is to unite Western men with hopeful brides from many countries around the world. The most popular countries tend to be Eastern Europe, South America, and Asia, although you can find marriage-minded women from all over the globe.

6.Many Western men find more traditional values in foreign women than the women in their own country, including issues such as raising children, careers, and relationships with older men.

7.Mail order brides could be the answer you need if you’re not meeting the kind of women that you’d like to, or if you’ve become weary of dating in the conventional way. Meeting foreign women online is only a click away and can be done from the comfort of your own home.

Thanks to the internet, dating and falling in love has become as global as shopping and communications. New people are accessing the internet every day as more countries move into the area of modern technology.

There’s no worry about learning to speak a foreign language, as there are software programs available to translate for you. You’ll also find foreign language programs you can use to learn a particular language once you’ve found a foreign woman you want to communicate with in her native tongue. Plus, many women you’ll meet will already be able to speak to you in English.

For men wanting to expand their dating choices, you can now look anywhere in the world. Whatever your preference, they’re out there and many foreign women you’ll meet are also looking for a lifelong commitment.

When you find the woman who steals your heart, take your time getting to know her. Find out her hopes and dreams and what she might expect from life in another country. There’s no need to rush this process. It’s much more important to know that you and your potential mate are both looking for the same things in a relationship.

How To Make A Great Movie Hero

Thursday, June 4th, 2009
Patrick Omari asked:

A film’s protagonist can be the most important part of the puzzle when creating a great film. A great director, script or setting can be ruined if the central character, the hero, is badly cast or acted. Film characters can be as important as the actor who is cast, with some actors rescuing poor films while good actors face a futile challenge when cast as a badly conceived character.

When super-hero movies were making a big comeback, Halle Berry would have been forgiven for thinking that Catwoman would be a big hit but hindsight would point to the opposite. Weak characterisation and a non-existent storyline made the film a critical and box-office failure, while Batman, Superman and Spiderman have made a success of a similar plot. So, what makes a movie’s hero successful?

A movie’s success can be largely attributed to a well written script, with realistic characters and a strong plot-line. The film’s hero must have some, if not all of the following characteristics: likable, believable, sympathetic, heroic, spirited, vulnerable and courageous. These traditional elements will help turn a movie character into a great movie hero.

Many of the most quintessential movie heroes are based on the main attribute of courage and heroism. Obviously, the term heroic will be evident in all movie heroes, but generally will be shown in adventurous, risk-taking and dangerous behaviour. This is epitomised by the characters of James Bond and Indiana Jones.

Massively different, yet representing comparable characters, the British secret agent and American archaeologist bear many similarities. Bond is charismatic, smooth and charming while Jones appears a rugged, brash and trying hero. Despite their superficial differences, they both risk their lives for their job and attempt (successfully) to seduce every female that they come across.

Although these characters appear vaguely realistic, they are fundamentally similar to the super-heroes of comic-book movies. Superman, as the name suggests, is one of the ultimate movie heroes in terms of powers and what he tries to achieve. Despite the obvious lack of realism regarding his strengths and abilities, Superman and his alter-ego Clark Kent are based strongly in a believable and likeable human character.

The everyman character that enables the audience to empathise with them is the perfect movie hero when possessing additional characteristics or talents that elevate them above the supporting characters. Superheroes are traditionally normal people who transform into their more powerful, exceptional and ‘special’ self.

The heroic character will be represented in physical form by the super-hero, Batman, Superman or Spiderman, while the moral heroics will be evident in the human form of Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent or Peter Parker. All three of these characters possess the ‘everyman’ qualities of likeability without displaying traditional characteristics of an adventure-story hero.

Bruce Wayne is shy and introverted with little charisma or charm, depicted in the Batman movie by Michael Keaton. His quiet, softly-spoken persona removes him from the Batman character that we see in the same movie as he adopts a new personality when he wears the physical mask and suit. This Bruce Wayne is very similar to the Peter Parker as depicted by Tobey Maguire in the recent Spiderman movies.

Adversity plays a key role in the triumph of an heroic protagonist as they battle physical or emotional trauma in order to succeed. Russell Crowe’s Maximus in Gladiator overcomes tremendous physical hardship as well as the murders of his wife and son before eventually gaining revenge on the film’s antagonist. Although set in ancient Rome, the everyman character induces a tremendous amount of audience sympathy for the character’s struggle.

A great movie hero is someone that fights their problems, not only physically, and despite any adversity maintains dignity and pride throughout the struggle. One of the most popular movie heroes to have demonstrated these qualities include To Kill A Mocking Bird’s Atticus Finch who, despite social disapproval, defends a black man accused of rape. Finch is entirely impartial in the case and represents the conscience and good nature of the human race, in contrast to the judgmental and discriminating town members.

A hero’s role within the movie is to represent the audience on-screen and act in a way that depicts the emotion and feelings that the viewers are experiencing. If this is achieved, then the hero will be successful, whether they possess superpowers, moral weakness or is just an everyman. To make the ultimate movie hero, the story will encourage an audience’s empathy while maintaining the hero’s position as a figure of unattainable and enviable power.

Foreign Brides – the Risk and the Attraction

Thursday, June 4th, 2009
A. Hathaway asked:

The appeal of foreign brides and the primary risks.

From a United States, Canada and Western Europe perspective, we can examine the demand factor for foreign brides, and it doesn’t take long to uncover the reasons explaining the interest. For some of those living in the leading developed world, find something different or “exotic” can be the appeal. For others, the appeal may be to find someone from a different culture, who offers a fresh perspective, and arguably, a more natural and pure mentality not driven by the West’s competitive economics. The physical attraction is easy to pinpoint, as some of the world’s developing nations offer the most incredible women in the world – this is not debatable. Countries such as Russia, Romania, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela produce what many consider the best female talent available on the planet.

The potential reward of a woman from a foreign country and culture is real, but so are the risks. Some in nations such as the Philippines, Colombia, Russia and others in Eastern Europe have begun to cash in on this foreign interest, scamming foreigners out of millions of dollars each year. Scammers mix themselves in with the honest women on websites, typically, sending beautiful photographs and gaining the foreigner’s trust before asking for money, and more money. In addition to the relationship, advance fee and Internet fraud, there is the risk of blending two cultures in the form of language and cultural barriers, and pulling one away from his or her own home country to live. As in the financial markets, the risk-reward relationship here is directly related. For those willing to take sizeable risks, the potential reward can be substantial. On the other hand, it is wise to proceed with caution and do your homework to avoid the many pitfalls.

Is obtaining a beautiful and honest woman from Russia, Colombia or Brazil really an option? If so, what is the best way to make it happen? Based on experience we recommend visiting the country of interest in person, seeing not only the country’s women but also the culture first hand. If you don’t speak the language, seek out a woman in the country who speaks your language, at least basic conversation. This hurdle alone can save a great deal of money and heartache. Remember that with poverty (as in Russia, Colombia and Brazil) comes cases of women seeking financial gain, and nothing more. Approach women with a skeptical eye, and if visiting the country isn’t an option, use utmost caution and due diligence in screening these women. We recommend a confidential background check from a firm like Wymoo once any relationship starts progressing – before any money is ever sent. Too many people have lost big. That being said, there are no shortage of winners out there who are happily married.

Are there any websites that are immune to such cases of fraud? The answer, unfortunately, is no. No website is immune from gold diggers, relationship or advance fee fraud. It just isn’t possible to screen all the individuals paying for memberships on Internet matching sites. There are many beautiful women in the market. Sifting through those is only becoming more difficult.

Best of luck in the search,

A. Hathaway

Singles, Online Dating & Chat Sms Tips

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009
Mr Online Dating asked:

If you are dabbling in the singles and dating game like many other singles, your mobile and texting facility can be utilised as one of the most substantial instruments you own in communicating, chatting and romancing the opposite sex. Only a couple of cheeky words or gestures can produce a scene and add exhilaration to a coming forth love affair. For singles who are dating or utilising online dating or chat rooms, texting, if used right, can be a handy option that can have a great impact.

Text messaging or sms (short message service) constitutes by far the handiest, quickest and most upfront form of communicating obtainable other than when communicating in person.

Have you of late been out to a club or related type locale and exchanged cell numbers with somebody you encountered that night? Come the following day, your very keen to get hold of this individual although your not feeling anywhere near as assured as the night prior whilst you had those seven vodkas under your belt. An sms/text is an uncomplicated yet hard-hitting alternative. This takes away the impression of rejection whenever they do not return your sms, there is no nuisance value of real chat, an sms/text permits you to be candid and direct, sending the ball squarely back to their court.

Try not to over accentuate text messaging. You do not wont to take chances building up someone’s anticipations only to eventually let them down. Texting is most efficient for light and plain communicating, and is best kept to a short duration otherwise your text can oftentimes leed to a misunderstanding.

Increasingly we pick up stories of people finishing an arrangement or even a love affair via a text message. An sms is an entertaining means to hit off a love affair, but an atrocious and spineless means to end one. Recent data has been included as part of online dating research undertaken by an Australian University expressing that 28% of relationships cease via text messaging. Also, 62% of singles in this same group declared that over abbreviations with sms/texting was a turn off.

An unspoken principle that applies is that it is polite to return an sms/text inside a few hours. Whenever no message is returned in this time frame, it may appear like you are being brushed off. People frequently make the error of using the incorrect context or can be sarcastic while texting. A sarcastic text message can oftentimes offend the receiver who can easily translate your message in a contrasting view to the view you meant.

Texting is practised for many intentions other than for singles and dating intentions. It is a very convenient instrument for communicating with acquaintances, family or for business intentions. Internationally, there are more than 3 billion text messages sent daily.

A few online dating sites have conformed with the times providing singles mobile chat and sms chat as part of their website characteristics. An IT professor from America – Michael Turner, hosted a business conference in Sydney Australia in the middle of 2007, and formed the prediction that mobile devices and mobile communicating would supersede all forms of modern non mobile devices such as desk tops inside the following 7-8 years.
